DermaRolling often referred to as MicroNeedling or Collagen Induction Therapy, is a aesthetic procedure in which thousands of tiny needles are inserted into the surface of the skin via a rolling or stamping device.

DermaRolling works by creating microscopic wounds which induce collagen and elastin production. Collagen is the most abundant protein found in the human body and is responsible for holding together connective tissue like skin, muscle, tendons, cartilage and bones.

Your skin will go through 3 recovery phases over 30 days. This is your natural wound healing which will result in the stimulation of healthy new skin. 

1. Inflammation

Activated by the piercing of the dermal tissue. Platelets release growth factors which activate the bodies immune system. White blood cells disinfect the wound and increase the blood supply, resulting in the creation of fresh new skin. 

2. Rapid Reproduction

The skin cells continue to divide and populate the areas of damage and secrete growth factors such as collagen and elastin will be deposited with new tissue formation. 

3. Remodelling

The collagen in the newly formed tissue is replaced with greater strength collagen and the dermis will contract creating a firmer, supple textured skin.
